The Emergent Posse is an online group/movement/community of highly-motivated community activists spread across the nation working to educate and empower communities and community leaders in order to implement real sustainability programs and projects. We’ve hit a paradigm shift: oil isn’t cheap, the planet has a fever, and the economy is in the dumps. There are ways to get ourselves out of this mess – it’s right under our nose in the wind, the sun, soil, and water. It starts with our communities. It starts with us! What Can You Do Today?
This summer, we’re helping communities from New Jersey to Maine work together to build locally-owned solar projects, but we need your help.
In the next two weeks we’re searching for neighborhoods that need help and for buildings that should have solar panels on their roofs. Fill out our ShoutOut Sheet and tell us about a big building – with a big roof – or a school, or a factory/warehouse, or an empty lot in your area. If the project is built, we’ll pay you for the tip. Seriously.
