Emergent will negotiate a Power Purchase Agreement with any landowner who has entered into a Lease Lease Agreement.
Emergent can sell electricity from the renewable energy project directly to you for a discounted price, usually 10% below the current retail rate of electricity. Through the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), your business agrees to buy this power for a certain period of time and at a certain rate. The rate might escalate at an agreed-upon rate or stay stable for extended periods of time. Much of the PPA is negotiable and can be tailored to specifically meet your company’s needs.
