Company History
Emergent Energy Group was founded as a wind energy consulting firm by Greg, Jared, and Jayson in the basement of Tilton Hall at Tufts University in 2006. Soon after, Jesse and Chris joined the team to help expand Emergent’s capabilities. Since our inception, we have continued to work with wind power, but we’ve also moved beyond wind and into solar power and general sustainability initiatives. We have built a presence throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Our consulting services are continually growing and merging into new markets, and our project facilitating capabilities for wind and solar power are also expanding. Emergent has helped municipalities plan for a future with wind power, allowed landowners to assess and value their property for alternative energy project development, and conducted the first national wind power site ranking for one of the premier wind power developers in America. We’re dabbling in wind resource prediction, social investing, and alternative energy as local economic development drivers.
We have partnered with national and local firms to meet our clients’ specific energy needs. We are actively pursuing the financing of community-scale and large-scale wind power projects throughout the Northeast United States.
